I am looking for a Lab Technician to join an international laboratory environment where you will perform microbiological analyses and support a variety of customer and innovation projects. Tasks and Responsibilities
As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine microbiological analyses on water, pulp, paper, and deposit samples. Your daily activities will include sample receipt and registration, preparing dilution series, plating samples, incubation, microbial enumeration, and recording results in laboratory systems. You will also support microbiologists and senior laboratory staff with microbial identification work and specialized studies.
The majority of your work will take place within a customer-focused laboratory environment, where you help monitor microbiological conditions for industrial systems and products. In addition, you may occasionally support innovation projects, assisting with studies that evaluate the effectiveness of new products and formulations. Although the role includes routine testing, tasks are rotated where possible to create variety and ensure continuous learning within the team.
Requirements
- MBO Level 4 or Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Laboratory Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Laboratory experience is preferred, though not required.
- Knowledge of microbiological techniques such as dilution series, plating, incubation, and microbial enumeration.
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
- Proactive attitude with the willingness to support colleagues and contribute to team success.
- Experience working in an ISO 17025 environment is considered an advantage.
